  1. Power outage today so I lost a few hours on one of my rigs, but we're back up and running. Been a while (two years?) since I've had an outage here. Hopefully it'll be another two before the next.
  2. I entered in the shuffle last week, my first one, and didn't luck into anything. Certainly no need for new hardware for myself but I have some interest so I'll be keeping an eye out for more.
  3. Reinstalled Windows last night so my 3900X-based build is finally up and running after getting those cables. Hopefully I can figure out lighting on it pretty soon and find a good opportunity for some decent pictures.
  4. I think I'll go with this name as a tribute to SiB on OCN of course, but I'm open to suggestions. Placeholder OP of course. Hardware I have available to fold on includes: 2x GTX 2080 Ti 2x GTX 1070 Ti GTX 980 GTX 960 2x R9 Fury The 2080 Tis are in my two main rigs, so they may pause to game on from time to time. As a result I'd rather not use those, but I'm open to running anything else for ETF.
  5. Not what I'm saying at all - I have no issue with Cherry switches themselves and I can't really even tell the difference between a Cherry Brown and a Kailh Brown, for example. What I'm saying is if you want an RGB switch, only half (big generalization, but maybe half on average) of the switches from each manufacturer are offered on RGB boards. Cherry only offers black, brown, blue, red, and silver as RGB switches, and I'm a big fan of Cherry green and clear, so I'm out of luck.
  6. Been getting back into iRacing after a drought of races between the Daytona 24 and the 12 Hours of Sebring. Hard to find time, but it's worth it when I can get a race in. When I don't want to commit to setting myself up at my sim rig, I've been fooling around in Wreckfest and BeamNG quite a bit recently. I think a few folks here would enjoy those. I've tried Valheim and a few of my friends are pretty hooked on it, but it just doesn't work for me. I can't really say why. Maybe it's the art style? Maybe I'm just burnt out on survival games like that, and I just want to ke
  7. Very cool stuff, I've been loosely watching news on Perseverance. Update from the day after/a couple days ago now: https://www.space.com/mars-helicopter-ingenuity-first-flight-preview
  8. Shame. Never owned an LG phone but I usually kept an eye on them for some of the features they'd offer after competitors wouldn't, namely swappable batteries and 3.5 mm jacks. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm not looking forward to replacing my Galaxy S8 when it kicks the bucket, but it's still in pretty good shape.
  9. Very exciting! Not sure how much time I'll have but I'll be keeping an eye out for a potential invite for sure.
  10. My first board way back in the day was a Ducky Shine II. I've occasionally considered another Ducky over the years, but I usually come to the conclusion that I'm not a huge fan of the bang-for-buck as far as features go, and I don't really like the switch limitation with RGBs. If you're not super picky about switch type though, and want a nice RGB board, recent Ducky Shines are super nice.
  11. I actually recently finished with the little mod list I have for the Alltrack, last thing was wheels and tires since the wheels took uh... four months to show up. Super super pleased with it. If I ever get a chance to wash the dang thing I'll get pictures of it before it gets coated in pollen 2 minutes later. Otherwise my life has been completely consumed by classes and FSAE. Formula's been a ridiculous time commitment for the past few months since we've been trying to make up for being out of the shop for six or seven months. We are currently making plans to go to a competition in
  12. Funnily enough drag racing is one form of motorsport that I'm not super interested in watching at a professional level, which is rare. I can appreciate the time and engineering that goes into it, but purely from a spectator standpoint the action to prep ratio is pretty low. Definitely looks like fun though, and credit to you for going out and pushing your cars, doesn't happen often enough. In a similar vein I went autocrossing for the first time ever a few weeks ago in my '03 BMW 330i. It's got like 202k miles on it, bone stock, and it's more of a backup car now that I take on some
  13. Will we be using the restrictions of new gen vs old gen cards that I saw in a different thread? Definitely a fan of the scaling points adjustments. If we're also scaling Windows up to match Linux, I think that would actually motivate me to use the slower OS since I'm more comfortable overclocking there than I am on Linux. Just something for me to figure out.
  14. I'm in! As a prize I'll offer one week of folding on one of my 2080 Tis. It can go to anyone, but only if as a team we hit 900 WUs (just over what we hit last month).
