  1. New folder seeking NSA relationship. DTF for the right captain. Is that you? Slide into my PMs and see if you are the leader I'm looking for.
  2. Thanks for your time. looking forward to your content
  3. Welcome. Technology moves fast
  4. i'm kind of here... Still interested though. I will need to be on a team with a strong and patient captain, as i will be needing more than average amount of coaching
  5. I am probably going back to the hospital again today, but if I get some time beforehand then I will weed them and get them stuck so I can get some pics. A little birdie told me that @ENTERPRISEmight be taking requests pretty soon
  6. Drilling rivets is super easy. use a LARGE drill bit and just cut the head off and punch the rivet through the hole. DO NOT drill into the panel just to remove a rivet. As far as marking the hole, use a center punch then the hole saw guide bit will make the pilot hole right on the center mark. Not all hole saws are created equal. Figure out what size you need and go buy one especially for sheetmetal. They will generally be be very different than your average generic hole saw set and cost about $20. This will save a lot of headache and worrying about messing up the finish. Not all rivets are created equal. Make sure to get aluminum "blind rivets". Anything else probably wouldn't even be able to be set with a cheap rivet gun anyway. Also, buy for diameter and well as compressed length. Rivets that are too long after they are compressed are very difficult to drill out. As for files, just a quality (german, swiss or american made) chainsaw file will be good for de burring holes, but the hole saw I use made such clean cuts that it wasn't necessary My opinion is that if you you have clear, perpendicular access to the panel you are drilling then there is no need to remove it, but know that the drill bit and hole saw will come out the other side pretty far and with some amount of force when it cuts through so make sure you have plenty of clearance that way also I attached a pic of the hole saw I use (with a small impact driver instead of a drill) and a pic of the results. I did no further doctoring to the holes in the pic after drilling and did not use any tape or anything. Just center punch and let it rip with a quality saw
  7. lol. It's my same old x79 and 3 titan hoopty. I just wanted to flex my sticker. I have some fancier ones for an x99 project I am cobbling together right now

    The ugly side

oh man! all coordinated on the ugly side is AWESOME. For some reason that never even occurred to me. Thanks for giving me something new top obsess over
  10. I’ve seen those and I’ve seen the “box only” auctions. The piece of a graphics card auctions are good too lol description on this one is short and sweet. I bought one just in case, but it looks like eBay has since deleted the auction. As suspected, too good to be true
  11. Often things that are too good to be true usually are. Can’t seem to find anything suspicious about these listings except the price. Any input?
  12. Thanks to those that joined. I see we have a few vets on the team now! And our team ranking has climbed significantly. As little as I know about overclocking, it is my main hardware interest. I hope to learn from you guys

Scrolling through this topic is so awesome. Just cruising a bunch of real computer pics. Keep em coming! I’ve been admitted to the hospital again and need some tech porn to keep me entertained. This time I planned for stay and brought some headphones and a long charging cable for my phone. You guys are awesome. Thanks for keeping me company. No visitors due to Covid restrictions

    The ugly side

My CPU block had a bad mount and while it was apart for an extended amount of time while I was turning the SLI water bridges (stainless... bad choice) I came up on that Corsair AIO so I slapped it in. Long-term was to add a second custom loop for the cpu, but my stuff seldom stays together long enough for “long term” anything lol and I’m pretty sure that monsta rad is more than enough for 4 GPUs and a cpu Pic before AIO

    The ugly side

This may or may not be the correct place for this topic but I am curious... I want to see the ugly side! It's easy to find super sexy glamour shots of PC builds with all the lights on and fancy camera settings. Not so much the side with all the cables. SO, I'll show you mine and you show me yours. Would also be curious to know how much crap's worth of wires you tucked, but I suppose some things should stay private. Here's mine. Wired: AIO, 3 GPUs, water pump, fan/RGB hub, 7 fans, 2 SSDs, and front panel i/o
