  1. Welcome! Don't always have to post to be relevant or appreciated. I read a lot more than I post as well.
  2. Welcome to the new normal
  3. Only MMORPG's for me. Been a 3 years long drought of AAA titles, but I keep myself busy with Aion. Been playing since beta in 2009. Graphics are a little antiquated, but the fast paced hardcore PvP is still some of the best around. I just started Black Desert Online a few weeks ago. Like the combat, fluid and intuitive, but won't necessarily be looking forward to the grind. Also been playing Lost Ark on the Russia client. Amazon Games has US/EU publishing rights and are supposed to release it sometime this year. Amazing combat and graphics, a very addicting game.
  4. Fake news or not, I agree that it will happen in good time. I think the only pure resolve for the issue right now is to create mining only cards (no graphics capabilities) that are cheaper for them to buy and mine faster than gamer/enthusiast cards. Then they'd have no choice but to switch
  5. Good catch, and highly unusual for Bykski. I've always known them to be Bitspower level attentive to details and workmanship
  6. Yeah, looking at their site, it looks like PT is just doing Strix right now for the 30 series, which is a shame, because it's the best looking block on the market right now.
  7. Now that you've waited so long, you've got options. If you're not comfortable with AC now, Bykski and Phanteks both make wicked looking blocks for the 3090
  8. The ancillary benefit of the collective of reports, data, rumors, posts and articles is that now it's in the mainstream media, it's a known problem, and there is high pressure on manufacturer's to fix the problem. That's a step up from last year when it just sucked, but no one seemed to care about it. The manufacturer's get their money no matter who buys their product. I'm glad to see repercussions arising from it. It may be the first incident where I've ever been a fan of social media influence. We'll see how it progresses
  9. After 29 years of MMORPG gaming and countless computer builds and upgrades, the one peripheral that has always eluded me was a gaming trackball mouse. To combat a digressive back condition, aided no doubt by decades of competitive football, I learned to game in a recliner with my gaming keyboard set atop a laptop cooling pad and a trackball mouse Velcro adhered to the right arm of my recliner. It’s been my setup for the last 20 years. Trackball gamers have been kind of the lost and forgotten children of the gaming world, with no mice to have ever been designed for a tr
  10. Well, if you're anything like me in college way back in the day ... that means Thursday night at 1:00am you need to get serious about studying
  11. Welcome to the new place to be. Gratz on your final year of study.
  12. The thing is, you can't put away the GPU climate or the international chip shortage. It is the reality of the world we live in, so while I very much agree with your analysis in a theoretical and mathematical environment, in the reality of today, which could last into 2022, the actual cost to performance is attractive. It would, if it's readily available, which is a huge assumption, provide at least a serviceable bridge until the market comes down from it's high. It's a much better proposition than the $3,000 you'd have to pay right now for an RX 3090 and even the 3060 TI's are ge
  13. Thank God for this ... I was just complaining this morning as I was staring at my 10900x that I was short 86 cores.
