  1. China's growing power crunch threatens more global supply chain chaos WWW.CNN.COM A growing power supply crunch in China is triggering blackouts for households and forcing factories to... pretty bad day for the stock market with this being a big part of the cause, though political tension in the US is also a major factor.
  2. China bans kids from playing online video games during the week WWW.MSN.COM China has barred online gamers under the age of 18 from playing on weekdays and limited their play to... Damn man, that some serious government overreach. What a crazy rule. I bet tencent's stock value is tanking.
  3. Chinese rocket debris is expected to crash into Earth soon. It's not the first time. - CNNPolitics The TLDR of it is that China is rushing to get its Space Station up and running so they can be more on par with the US and Russia, but uncontrolled re-entries of rockets this size is a big problem, not for people on the ground but for the risk of creating more space debris. I would expect China to bend to international pressure and make sure their next launches are more controlled. Time will tell.
  4. Source: https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/12/tech/microsoft-election-ransomware/index.html Well... Always interesting to hear about this stuff.
  5. Source Epic really shot themselves in the foot. Fortnite had 250 million users (as of March 2019) with 100 million of those users being on iOS devices and I believe 80% of the revenue came from iOS devices. As this goes on, it's looking more and more like Epic are not going to win this lawsuit. So not only did Epic completely destroy the one chance they had at bringing third party app stores to IOS, they've also lost a significant chunk of their revenue for Fortnite.
  6. Source: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/ibm-spins-off-a-quarter-of-the-company-to-focus-on-the-cloud/ar-BB19PLzc?ocid=msedgntp This is a pretty big business move for a company like IBM. I'd imagine people will be lining up to buy stock in the new company when it launches.
