  2. https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/aepicleak-cpu-bug-affects-intel-core-processors-from-the-10th11thand-12th-generations.html Another day, another new vulnerability.
  3. Nvidia reduces revenue prediction due to video card demand. (guru3d.com) Good news for buyers. Before the economic shift back when stocks were just going up and up all the time, I would see articles all the time saying to buy Nvidia stock because it was so undervalued, but looking at the numbers that didn't make sense to me at all unless you assumed that crypto would never come back down. In the last year Nvidia's stocks has gone from a peak of ~$330 to ~$190. Definitely glad I didn't take the advice on any of those articles back then.
  4. https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/tensor-core-equivalent-likely-to-get-embedded-in-amd-rdna3.html I dont think this is really anything new, pretty sure its been known that RDNA3 would embrace the machine learning hardware trend that Nvidia and Intel are already focused on.
  5. AMD AGESA V2 Microcode To Fix fTPM Stutters (guru3d.com) I'm sure a few people here will be glad about this.
  6. https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/tsmc-adopts-nanosheet-transistors-for-the-2nm-process.html
  7. https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/rumor-amd-ryzen-7000-cpus-would-see-maximum-boost-frequency-of-5-85-ghz.html If true, we could start seeing 6ghz OCs on Intel AND AMD soon.
  8. https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/intel-raptor-lake-caches-confirmed-through-leaked-cpu-z-screenshot.html It would seem Intel may have gotten some pressure, or inspiration, from the 5800X3D.
  9. https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/amd-radeon-rx-6950-xtrx-6750-xtand-rx-6650-xt-3dmark-scores-leak.html I'm sure Ray tracing performance will tell a different story. Nice to see AMD keeping the pressure on though.
  10. AMD Adds 5 new CPU models including Ryzen 7 5700X (guru3d.com) Some really interesting bang for buck options here. The 5700X seems better than the 5800X because it uses a lot less power and is only 100mhz slower.
  11. AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D -1080p and 720p gaming gets tested (guru3d.com) Not a major victory, but it seems the 5800X3D generally beats or at least ties the Core i9-12900K for gaming. Update: Official review benchmarks:

  13. https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/united-states-lift-chinese-import-tariffs-on-graphics-processing-units-and-motherboards.html Good news for gamers!
  14. https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/nvidia-unveils-grace-cpu-has-144-cores-and-1-tbs-bandwidth.html I can't imagine Intel is too happy about this.
  15. Nvidia Hit by Possible Cyber Attack - ExtremeTech WWW.EXTREMETECH.COM Nvidia has been hit by a cyber attack from an unknown source. Investigations are ongoing as the company secures its systems. Always seems a little interesting in a menacing way when such large companies get hit with stuff like this.
  16. https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/intel-presents-roadmap-of-energy-efficient-blockchain-accelerators.html Intel wants that Nvidia money.
  17. https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/microsoft-to-acquire-activision-blizzard-for-a-whopping-68-7-billion-all-cash-deal.html Pretty big news. I wonder if they will Kick Bobby out after the acquisition.
  18. These are two separate articles but I figured it makes sense to post them together in the same thread. Nvidia 5nm: https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/geforce-rtx-40-gpus-fabbed-on-tsmc-n5.html TSMC 3nm: TSMC's 3nm process enters pilot production phase at Taiwan fab WWW.TECHSPOT.COM Unnamed industry sources told DigiTimes (paywalled, via MacRumors) that TSMC aims to... 19. Intel: 12th Gen Intel Core Desktop Processor Family Additions and New Platform Options (guru3d.com)
  20. https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/new-tech-could-mean-85-fewer-transistors-with-new-adaptive-transistor-technology-in-gpus-and-cpus.html The technical parts of this are way over my head, but it sounds like it could bring some major performance gains down the road if this tech can be used at scale effectively.
  21. https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/twice-as-powerful-but-double-energy-usage-nvidia-geforce-rtx-40-video-cards.html Huge grain of salt but it sounds believable that Nvidia would go balls to the wall with RT and not really focus on power consumption at least until RT is more viable to use.
  22. https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/up-to-64gb-of-hbm2e-memory-is-available-for-intel-sapphire-rapids-xeon-cpus.html Guess Intel is ready to compete on cache sizes. 64gbs seems kinda nuts.
  23. More than 50 vulnerabilities have been found in AMD EPYC processor and Radeon graphics drivers. (guru3d.com) Question for people on this site; I have sort of stopped seeing "security exploit found" articles as very news worthy because IMO it's a constant arms race that will never end so we can just expect new exploits to constantly be found and then patched. That said, 50+ sure seems like a lot but in general I don't think this kind of thing is all that news worthy. What do you guys think?
