Don't think this has been posted here yet, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Tom's Hardware: Canadian Price Leak Puts RTX 3090 Ti at a Painful $4,000+

As excerpted:

Quote

An unnamed Canadian retailer shows the Asus TUF Gaming RTX 3090 Ti and ROG Strix LC RTX 3090 Ti priced at 4,649 CAD and 5,234 CAD, respectively. The latter's insane price tag is directly attributed to its water-cooled design.

If we do a straight conversion to U.S. currency, we're looking at $3,680 and $4,143, respectively. Remember, these are just retailer prices and aren't indicative of what Nvidia's MSRP will be at launch. The "standard" RTX 3090 has an MSRP of $1,499 but currently sells for nowhere close to that price (unless you can grab one during Best Buy's infrequent drops). Despite a steady month-over-month drop in GPU prices, the RTX 3090 still averages $2,126 on third-party marketplaces like eBay.

Yup I knew it would be in that price bracket. There is no place for this product. Its advantages over the 3090 are very small and the price is just whack!

I know people will buy it so they feel they have the best...but that feeling is probably going to be the biggest advantage of buying it lol.

Rant over.

Won't matter in a few months when they drop the 4 series. Those people who had a partial chub would see a full on flattening of their E-peen.

Unless they only ever intended to mount it on a plaque on the back wall of their YouTube set after the obligatory half arsed LN2 run(s)?  This thing seems more like a high priced "collectable" than piece of hardware for the "enthusiasts".  A deluxe NFT if you will.

After the past 18 months or so, the fact that they can be bought at MSRP just feels...weird lol.
