Samsung Galaxy A01 (S111DL) USB Type-C to HDMI?

Recommended Posts

I bought an adapter but haven't had a chance to test it yet.  I read around the web that it should work but a lot of other people say it won't work.  I guess I should just test it but that's a week away at least.  So I was wondering if anyone has tested an A-Series Samsung Galaxy with USB Type-C on an HDMI adapter of sorts?

Thanks

In the below picture it shows a Macbook, but I figured it could work on any USB Type-C device, unless I'm wrong?

Looks like the adapter I use on my work Macbook Pro so I can actually get some ports.

Can't say I've ever thought to try it on a smartphone. I have one of those adapters. Actually two of them. I am curious to try now. What are you using it for? Connecting to a monitor?

Most phone will support it like a xbox controller / mouse / keyboard. I did try it on many phone but it depend on the feature samsung enabled. Even micro usb to hdmi work on some older samsung

I'm using it to connect my phone to my TV or Monitor @ hook up my Logitech Unifying Receiver which supports my Wireless Keyboard & Mouse so I can turn my phone into a Mini PC-like system.  I have a 256GB Micro SD card in there so I can load it up with Movies & I already have almost 100GB of music on there now.

If you can test it out I would appreciate it.

Thanks

So I am not sure about your specific model phone, but I just tested this out and can confirm that I plugged the HDMI from my monitor into my adapter and then plugged it into my Samsung S22 Ultra's USB-C port and it allowed me to display my phone on the monitor after accepting some prompts on the phone for Samsung DeX mode. I think you'll have to see if the A01 supports DeX and that will probably be your answer.

Thanks.  Yeah it doesn't support DeX,  I can just install Nova Launcher to get a Landscape home screen & use it as a PC-Like-System this way.

Cool deal, so sounds like if there are workaround that the adapter should work then. Definitely interested to hear when you get it.

Dex is not needed on android it just you won't have a Real desktop. Dex is like the samsung chromeos haha.

@HeyItsChris

You can use some app store windows launcher instead they work pretty good depending on phone.
