Can the ASUS ROG Strix RX 6800 XT boost beyond 2500 MHz?

The announcements for AMD's Big Navi RDNA2 based graphics cards is getting closer. And we can see chatter and noise build up on the web alright. Today an alleged sample(s) of Asus ROG Strix RX 6800 (XT) variants would be able to achieve high clock speeds in 3dmark 11.

3Dmark 11 is of course massively outdated and thus not even the slightest bit GPU limited. In such a situation your GPU frequency can go up significantly. That said; Twitterer Patrick Schur informs us about engineering samples with a total graphics power of 290 W and one with 255 W. 

The video card with a tgp of 255 W shows clock speeds in the two results with a midpoint approximately at 2,350 MHz and boost peaks to 2,557 MHz. Average clock speeds would fluctuate dramatically due to driver issues. One test result shows an average clock speed of almost 2,300 MHz, with the other result the average is less than 2,000 MHz.

The tested video card with a tgp of 290 W shows comparable results. With three benchmark rounds, the median is between 2,300 MHz and 2,370 MHz and a boost outlier of 2,556 MHz has been recorded. The average clock speeds were between 2090 MHz and 2290 MHz.
