The IceGiant ProSiphon Elite is finally available starting this month

Back in late 2019, we first heard about the IceGiant ProSiphon Elite CPU cooler. Using a unique design with powerful fans. In 2020 we saw and tested a prototype version of this cooler with an AMD Ryzen Threadripper processor. Now in 2021, the ProSiphon Elite is officially ready for the consumer market.

For those that missed our earlier coverage of this, the ProSiphon Elite essentially consists of a large heatsink and four powerful fans. It sounds simple, but IceGiant’s patented ProSiphon technology kicks things up a notch with a non-conductive liquid that moves between the heatsink fins to cool the CPU. This design also allows the cooler to be installed in vertical or horizontal orientations.

Fingers crossed, we are working on getting a sample to get a review going for all :)

...are you going to mount it on your ASRock X570 AQUA ? 😼

...Caseking.de has it listed now for EURO 185; fans look like Arctic P12 ? Apart from potential clearance issues, this could be interesting in some builds. If you do get one in for testing, may be slap some Noctua Industrial 3k rpm fans on for comparison ?

Ha no way. Not being tested on my daily rig, too involved with removing a monoblock. This will be sent on to another of the team with the proper testing equipment. This is assuming we get a review sample, fingers crossed.

As for the Noctua fans, possibly another day but it would not be a part of the review.

My review sample is confirmed. Assembling a team on the old forum, but anyone with a high core count CPU in the US is welcome to join our testing team.

Nice ! Just finished a meeting with JR Thermal and we are getting a review sample, it is going to get some serious testing by @mllrkllr88

Looking forward to it.

Nice ! I hope tests will also show a.) Threadripper temp test data (say w/ a 24c/48t or higher) and b.) RAM / PCIe slot clearance with different combos

We will be testing with Thread ripper and other platforms.

As for the other questions, I will make note of these and see if we can get these in :)

Currently trying to weed through the pretenders and the people actually willing to do the work benching. I posted a short homework assignment to qualify, basically post proof that you have a high core CPU, and prove that you know how to run a benchmark and enter data into a spreadsheet. It's not going so well so far 😐 But there is no time crunch as I haven't even been shipped the cooler yet~

That is the problem, finding those who have the ability to do it not just from a technical standpoint but from a platform standpoint, furthermore I would imagine you would end up collating all the data anyway as opposed to having members produce their own "reviews" if you will, that would be hard to get random people to follow a set format. Will keep my fingers crossed that it goes well.

I got my cooler yesterday. I'll be getting a thread organized here and at that other place. This will be ongoing so people can jump in at any time. I have a small vetting requirement which is basically just a CPU-Z validation with your forum name and a benchmark run. IceGiant is very helpful and sending me bulk amounts of Kryonaut and even purchased testing equipment such as thermocouples for this endeavor.

This thing is HUGE

Nice, this sounds great. Kind of them to send you the additional gear for testing. Yeah it certainly is a large boy no doubt.

Well...let's just say that there were several hiccups already with my peer-share-testing 🤪

Most importantly I ordered a 90-degree 24-pin adapter to include in the package. Otherwise the cooler puts a ton of stress on the motherboard cables.

But I did get some nice results. I can run the thing passively and effectively cool my moderate all-core 24/7 overclock of 4.2GHz, even during 30 minute AIDA64 FPU AVX. I was also able to effectively cool my max-OC of 4.4GHz (yeah not much all-core headroom on this CPU) in AIDA 64 FPU AVX, but with the fans. Effective, meaning no safety throttling or shutdown kicking in.

I'll have a summary write-up, with plenty of data, pictures and videos, and I'll post it here when it's ready. I have a lot to say about this cooler, positive and negative.

I'm very interested to see what @mllrkllr88 has to say in his professional review.

Yes it's already started. We have a U.S. and Canada team so far. Send me your shipping address and a CPU-Z validation with your forum handle in the validation link.

Received our unit today for mr @mllrkllr88 to take a look at, looking forward to what we find. Will link review here when it is done as well for reference.

Get a cheap 90 degree 24-pin motherboard adapter so that it doesn't crush your cables.
